Nan Goldin Exhibition

I think a few of us have already visited the Hasselblad-Center in Göteborg. At the moment there is a really good exhibition about Nan Goldin an american photographer. The shown photographs are part of her most famous work "The Ballad of Sexual Dependency". The snapshot aesthetic images depict drug use, violent, aggressive couples and autobiographical moments. Most of her Ballad subjects were dead by the 1990s due to either drug overdoses or AIDS..." A really impressive exhibition, especially the slideshow (45min, 800 pictures)!

Eric Pentle Exhibition

Hej - on saturday there is a exhibition of Eric Pentle at the Gallery Oro. He is a guy from London who is presenting crazy street art stuff . The "Utställning" is called "Aorta Alter Glory" and is starting at 8pm. Fantastisk! Find this place on the map!

Roda Sten- Rethinking Dissent

Maike posted about Roda Sten so i'll post about the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art 2007.
it is an exhibition "on the limits of politics and the possibilities of resistance", and it is placed all over the city, in different museums and related places, but the biggest part is in Röda Sten.

the dates are from 25/8/2007 to 25/11/2007.

Galleri ORO

Galleri ORO is placed in the Karl Johannsgatan 146. It is a bit outside. A small group of People work very enthusiastic to run this gallery. They are from Kopenhavn, London and Gothenburg and studied at the Royal Collage of Art in London. Everyone is welcome - the atmosphere is very warm and friendly. The street with I think 4 galleries, product designers studio/store, clothes shop that is only open 3 days a week and sels one brand a week and the korsetfactory.

A-Gallery

Pop Art, Contemporary Art and Street Art you will find in the Tredje Långgatan 6. This small Gallery with changing Exhibitions is opened every weekday from 12-18. At the weekend you are welcome from 12-16. At the moment they expose Pictures from Artists of Sweden, Israel and Germany. Link: www.agallery.se
